Happy Easter!

We had a nice Easter weekend. I can't say that it was relaxing really, but it was fun! We had a lot going on, but we were able to squeeze everything in - just barely! Our ward choir did a beautiful, condensed oratorio version of "Lamb of God" by Rob Gardner during Sacrament Meeting. It wasn't quite like the recording :), but the Spirit was very strong in the meeting, so I call that a success! I spent many an hour practicing the tricky accompaniments. I don't think he was considering a pianists point of view when writing the music - I mean, 5 sharps! I think A-sharps should be outlawed, but that's just my opinion.

I also sang one of the songs called "Make Me Whole". It is a beautiful song with a beautiful message, sung from the point of view of Martha, the sister of Lazarus. She's singing to the Savior, asking Him to help her to strengthen her faith. I haven't really had a problem lately with crying when I sing (thank goodness!), but not today, unfortunately. There's a particular line at the end of the song that says, "Oh take my heart, and let it know that every breath I take is by Thy tender grace, and thou wilt make me whole again." And the way that the lyrics are sung really brings out the emotion in the words, and the tears came to me. And then if you could have only seen the waterworks going on in the congregation! Truly though, there is nothing like music that can bring in the Spirit, testifying of the Savior in such a strong way. My testimony was strengthened, and my gratitude was increased for my Savior.

On a lighter note, I was able to finish the dresses, and I LOVED how they turned out! The girls looked so pretty! We took pictures after church, so everyone was a little rambunctious after all the sitting. I couldn't help but laugh when I looked at the pictures afterwards.




We went to an egg hunt at our friend's home on Saturday morning. The kids had a wonderful time collecting eggs!
