Look at that slobber?! She soaks everything. But isn't she just a doll?

And Anna - she is my little funny faces girl. She's definitely got a talent (and she's not afraid to show it).

Graham Cracker houses

These came together better than I expected. It's all in the frosting, I think.

Out of necessity, we built our homes during Adam's nap :)

Still beautiful the next morning. Today all that remains are a few pieces of graham cracker, which I'm sure will be dipped in milk and eaten very soon!

That same Saturday Samantha and Paul worked together on a chair they're building for her doll. She is turning into a very good assistant.

If you've Ever Wondered . . .

. . . what it looks like when a 2-year old gets his hands on a jar of peanut butter for an extended period of time, then here you have it. Lovely, no? I'm sure you can imagine the wonderful feelings I had when I came upon the scene. I had been feeding Cate and the kids were eating their snack. Let me say that unexpected bath time in the middle of the day is my favorite!

Decking the Halls

Adam is Two!!

Adam was less than patient while we sang "Happy Birthday" to him. He just wanted the ice cream (no cake for our allergy boy).

This is the card Samantha put with Adam's gift (gift pictured below).

He was very excited about the tangerine Samantha gave him. It lasted all the next day, but, alas, it ended up in the garbage after being tossed one too many times.
Aunt Christyn helping with his new wooden train. It was so nice to have Aunt Christyn in town for the celebrations!


And this is what he decided to do with his new birthday truck and his old Christmas truck the next morning!It was fun while it lasted :)

The "Lean-To"

Samantha decided to build a life-size fairy house all by herself. Generally we build fairy houses out of things only in nature, but apparently blankets were necessary (as well as toys, dolls, and snacks . . ) My little "fairies" enjoyed their shelter very much that afternoon - it's always good to work on survival skills. :)
And while they were playing, I finished Cate's cozy little hat for the winter that will come . . . eventually!
