Quality Father/Son Time

If you call sleeping while being with Daddy quality time (which I do!).

Paul took Adam on the Father/Sons Stake camp-out a few weekends ago. It was an overnight-er, and Adam did really well, and he thoroughly enjoyed kayaking with Daddy. Apparently it was very relaxing because he slept most of the ride, despite being nearly swallowed up by the life-jacket he was wearing :)

Then about a week later, Paul and Adam went out to mow the lawn together. Once again, the long, slow ride put Adam right to sleep, even though it wasn't even 9:30 am yet. He is our only child who actually sleeps outside of his bed. Sorry the picture is kind of blurry. It had just started raining, and I was talking on the phone at the time I took the picture, so I was hurrying to document the event.
Anyway, Paul is really enjoying having a son who loves everything the typical little boy loves, like playing in the sandbox for hours, pushing cars around the yard/floor with full-on sound effects, pulling the wagon around the tree over and over, and pointing out every bug he sees and then trying to smash it with his hands (at least he doesn't try to eat them . . . anymore).

Adam just had his 18 month appointment. His stats are as follows:

Weight: 27.2 lb (60-65th %tile)
Height: around 33" (80-85th %tile) (this was difficult to measure since he was screaming and wriggling)

So he's doing well. He is a solid little boy, that's for sure. He is imitating all words now, and is able to communicate with words a lot more, which is really nice.
