Adam's Blessing and a visit from Grandma & Grandpa C

We blessed Adam a couple weeks ago, when Paul's parents were here. Paul gave him a special blessing. Adam is already 2 months old. He just had his check-up, and here are the stats:

Weight: 13 lb. 15 oz. (90th %tile)
Height: 24 inches (80th %tile)

He's already a very big boy, healthy and strong - that's how we like 'em!

We really enjoyed having Paul's parents here for a week. They were so fun, and were a big help! here's a few recent pictures.

Holiday Pictures & Events

We had a wonderful Christmas season this year. We stayed home, and enjoyed having Paul's brother Howard and his daughter Madison come to visit for a few days.

Ice Skating - We took the girls ice skating for the first time this year. Samantha was happy having someone hold her up and push her around the rink, which was great for her, not so great for the person holding her. She just didn't want to actually learn to skate. Anna, on the other hand, was able to actually skate by herself, which you can see on the MUST-SEE video I posted on top. Who knew a 2 year-old could learn to ice skate on her first trip to the rink?! When the public skating was closed, Anna threw a full-blown tantrum on the ice, without anyone holding her, and managed to stay up while kicking her legs and throwing her body around. Too bad we didn't catch it on video. Very funny.

Sledding on Christmas day - Paul took the girls to the sledding hill across the street. They had the hill to themselves. Samantha loves to sled, and has no fear. Anna was content just walking up and down the hill.

Christmas Eve Pajamas - Grandma sent the girls some cute pajamas to open on Christmas Eve, which is a tradition in our family.

We were able to make it into Boston to see the beautiful tree in The Commons. We had wanted to let the girls skate on Frog Pond there, but the line was huge and not moving, so we gave up on that idea, much to the girls' disappointment. But we enjoyed walking around the park.

The girls enjoying their little brother. It will be a great day when he actually responds to their tickling. They'll keep trying though :)

We were worried that Anna would be very jealous of Adam, but she hasn't been jealous in any way. She just LOVES him, and gives him hugs and kisses (and food and toys) to show it.
