New Pictures of Girls

These were taken at The Picture People. The girls did really well, although I must admit that I promised them a sucker if they did a great job. :)

Samantha's Birthday

My big girl has now turned 4 years old. She had a wonderful birthday full of princess fun. She woke up to a trail of balloons that lead her to a breakfast "tea party", complete with a crown on her plate.
Then she and Anna gathered all the balloons up and Samantha wanted to show me how she fast she could run in her princess nightgown and crown. That is a picture of one happy girl!

Then she helped make her own birthday cake, and enjoyed the benefits of helping, which included licking the beaters. (I could never lick cake batter, but she'll eat any batter.)That night Paul took her and Anna out for a special dinner at the "restaurant", which was KFC. I had to teach piano lessons, so that was her special time with Daddy. Then we had cake and presents once they got back.
It took her quite a few blows (blowing is not her strong point :)), but she did get all the candles out.
Then she tried on all her new princess gear, and had a fantastic time doing so.
I threw this picture in so you could see Anna and her "head-dress".

All in all, I think it will be a birthday she'll remember for a long time! We love our sweet Samantha. She wanted everyone to have a present to unwrap. She wanted everyone to enjoy the gifts she received. She is a very loving and unselfish example in our family. She makes me smile and laugh everyday! She is growing up so fast, yet it feels like she's been a part of our family forever!
