Primary Temple Trip

Our primary had a temple trip this last week, so I was able to take the girls and get a few fun pictures. The temple gardener gave us a couple of flowers, which the girls loved. It was a fun trip, and the girls enjoyed being able to see inside the temple and to see the temple president dressed in white. Very special.

Cape Cod 2009

We took a quick 3-day trip to Cape Cod last weekend. We had a great time. Our favorite part was a great beach we found, but it resulted in our least favorite part, which was a bad sunburn. We put on sunscreen, but not enough. Anna's face received quite an interesting burn pattern, which made it easy to see where we had missed the sunscreen. Luckily Samantha doesn't burn easily, so she was fine. It didn't seem to bother either of them really. We didn't get to take too many pictures because of the inconvenience factor. Anna and Samantha wanted to be doing different things at the beach, so Paul and I had to split up to make sure neither of them drowned or disappeared on us. But it was beautiful. We biked a bit, and we were able to make it to one lighthouse, as well as to a free aquarium, which the girls loved. Anna kept calling the lobsters (or anything that she thought resembled a lobster) "monsters." She also thought all the fish were crying - I'm not sure why. I guess their faces do look pretty gloomy.

Idaho Family Reunion

Last month was the Halliday family reunion in Idaho. We had a wonderful time playing with family for a few days. Samantha misses her cousins, and really enjoyed getting to spend so much time with them. We also got to visit Paul's sister Jean Ann, as well as his parents while we were there, so that was nice.
